The Unified Eurasian Patent is valid in all states that joined the Eurasian Patent Convention and provides international legal protection of the inventions on the territory of all the states that are part of the agreement (Turkmenistan, Belarus Tajikistan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova and Armenia), which simplifies the procedures of obtaining and using the Eurasian patent. The Eurasian patent might be issued for the period of 20 years. Eurasian patent procedure is in use by applicants from over 80 countries in the world including the USA, Germany, Russia, Japan, the Netherlands, the UK, France and others
