Voluntary certification according to ISO standards is performed by accredited centers. The certificate is issued in Federal Agency for Technical Regulating and Metrology.

There is an authentic national version in Russia, called GOST R ISO 9001-2001.

ISO 9000 certificate is very different from licenses and other similar documents, as it is not a permission, but an approval document which can impact the company image.
